FRATER ABRAXAS

3=8▫  A.'. A.'.

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

Welcome to my A.'. A.'. web page.  After escaping the psychic mutilation of Roman Catholocism I spent a great part of my life studying philosophy, world religions, experimenting with magick, yoga, etheogens, and working as a musician.  After many intuitive doubts, unanswered questions, and a natural joy for taboo, I decided that traditional religion, science, and philosophy suffer a great deal of confusion partly due to the un questioned use of digital thinking and blindness to the un-challenged postulates which shape our perception and inform our reasoning.  After encountering thinkers such as Hume, Lau Tzu, Nietzsche, Patanjali, Herman Hesse, and Aleister Crowley I decided that the A.'. A.'. offered a system of mystical attainment that fit my scientific attitude while satisfying my love for experimentation, the exploration of consciousness, and individual creativity.  From this turning point onward I have been working under the supervision of Frater 493 since the winter of 2003 and have now been training under the guidance of Frater Apollonius.

In addition to my work with the A.'. A.'., studies in occultism, and experiments in sympathetic magick, I found my search for a universal operative principle behind occult phenomenon leading deeper into the realms of psychology, and better yet psycho-physics. It seems that the operative principles behind all magick are the same as those behind all perception, daily life, and the world that we live in. The more I looked into things the more I noticed that many of the results achieved through Raja Yoga, and Ceremonial magick could also be acheived through various forms of hypnosis, auto suggestion, and authority; that the experience we all take as the whole universe is but a case of long term social conditioning, stars influencing stars through an interplay of collective dialogue, or a type of mass hypnosis in which all perceptions and conceptions of what is 'real' are but expereinces that we learned to have through the use of reward and punishment driven by the desire for the individual monad to have experience and communication with other beings. The universe in it's entirety is almost never percieved since our social conditioning has molded us with a set of perceptual blinders which cause one to see the universe as static, and to confuse ideas with reality ('confusing the map with the territory'), when as magickal gnosis will show, the universe, or existence is infact fluid, ever changing, infinite, intersubjective, and contradictory. Yet part of our existence as stars or points of awareness in infinite space, involves creating endless worlds, or endless perceptual expereinces that are rienforced through ritual, internal dialogue, reward and punishment, language, concentration, and overall social cohesion.

As a result of this I have moved my research into hypnosis, psychological conditioning, and psychophysics as a way of probing deeper into the insights provided by occultism and as a means of both applying and communicating this wisdom in frameworks that can be more readily grasped by current cultural myths and frameworks that dominate the thought of modern society.

Yet all of this is but the vision of the machinery of the universe and touches greatly upon the experience of the Zealator who is situated in Yesod. The real crux of the matter is dealt with succinctly in the Book of the Law, which correctly informs us of the universe being simply an explosion of light being but the phenomenon of an infinite series of changing centres of view, Hadit, the core of every star, and their interaction with Nuit, that is the endless possiblities of infinite space. This explosion of perception is the electric dynamism that results from the union of these two contrairies and this is referred to as Ra-Hoor-Khuit, the god of war. The image of war is appropriate here since this interaction requires that every point of awareness must by nescessity have all possible experiences, which implies endless creation and destruction.

I just recently sent a letter to Frater Apollonius during the first of our Holy days during this period of speech, in which I feel I was able to articulate my understanding of this issue:

Well put, my friend and teacher.  With Nuit as infinite space, she is then infinite possibility and thus to be a true Thelemnite means to passionately embrace every possible experience as it un-folds as a spontaneous expression of Will.  Easier said than done, since most of us cannot accept our own will.  We confuse the will with the rote values and idealizations that we have internalized.  It may be our true will to build an empire, it may be our true will to commit suicide, it may be our true will to practice medicine, or it may be our true will to crawl through the streets as a junkie.

And remember:

l. 58 "A King may choose his garment as he will: there is no certain test: but a beggar cannot hide his poverty."

59.  "Beware therefore! Love all, lest perchance is a King concealed!  Say you so?  Fool!  If he be a King, thou canst not hurt him."

60.  "Therefore strike hard & low, and to hell with them, master!"

Every possible experience must be embraced with full rapture.  Either way the Will will happen, the black brother fights it since he has formulated his identity as but a little square that is off the centre of the circle.  His conscious ego gets crushed from the unconscious impact of his secret self, while the true thelemnite, better, the master of the temple will maintain ego integrety throughout all expereince since his conscious identity is in full alignment with the unconscious bud will, being the centre of the the circle, Hadit which radiates outward to the circumference of infinite space which is nowhere to be found.  (Cf. Plato's diagram of the soul)  This would be the nature of true love, being a spontaneous expression of will brought to it's maximum fullfillment by a fully trained Ruach that has surrendered itself to the infinite intelligence of universal will as it moves through the life force itself.

Love is the law, love under will.

Fraternally,

Abraxas

This particular lineage has just recently entered it's five year period speech as of the spring equinox of 2009 e.v. being Anno CIV by the Thelmic calendar.  We have an exciting five years waiting ahead of us since there has been much growth during our periode of silence.

Love is the law, love under will.
